about

Introspectiva is a collection of songs that showcase the eclectic background of guitarist and composer Ricardo Morales Vivero.

The album features Ricardo’s talent as a composer on originals such as the uptempo latin jazz title track “Introspectiva” and the melancholic samba canção “What We Have”. He also pays tribute to the jazz standards “Blue in Green” and “Equinox”. Ricardo’s arrangements breathe life into these beloved classics by combining jazz with Latin American music, pushing the harmonic and rhythmic boundaries of both musical traditions. Finally, tracks such as “Corazón Delator”, a cover of the Argentinian rock band Soda Stereo, showcase Ricardo’s early influences of Latin American rock to deliver a record that evolves throughout its playtime and mirrors Ricardo’s musical development.
